Ray, I just stumbled upon this news while searching online to find one of your old decks. Best wishes to you. Keep fighting the good fight. Can't wait for Powell to add your deck to the line up.

Ray,
I went through cancer twice myself. As long as you have family and friends with you, you can get through anything!!

Ray,
I do not know you as well as I would like to, but from what I do know, you are a very special person. It has been said that the measure of a man is in the way you touch peoples live. From what I have learned from Raymond, Peggy, Angie, Dee and Shannon, you are of full measure. We continue to pray for your recovery and for GOD's will to be done.
Your's in Christ

Ray,

May your recovery be as inspiring, quick & smooth as your fantastic skating style. I don't need to know you personally to understand your pain & to offer prayers for a complete remission. Wishing you the absolute best. If theres ever a time for 180's to come back into style, Its when your unhealthy! Ive been lucky enough to experience a few 180s from sickness myself.
Regards..

Ray, I have learned from others that you are an encouraging really cool guy. It is therefore our selfish desrire that wants you to recover and remain with us for more years. We need more legit people in this industry!!! I do not personally know you but have known of you and your skating over the years. Had a session back in the day, 91? at Hawks in Fallbrook. Anyway certainly admire your smooth style from all the Powell vids!!! Praying for full recovery so that you can continue on in this life and as somebody before me wrote, we hope to see you skating again. Sincerley, Jay & crew

Hey bro, my Grandpa had cancer and beat it like some pancake batter, as well as my best friends wife, she has had cancer on two seperate occasions, I watched both of these people through sheer strength and determination get over it, I have no doubt in my mind you being the athelete and great force in skateboarding that you are everything will be fine, peace and prayers be with you. p.s. they should come out with a cross and chain like the one on the deck!

Ray, I just came across this article and wanted to send you a well wish. When I was 14 I got to skate with you and several of the brigade boys include the t-man and little Colin at the time, Kev Harris was also there, I think Steve Saiz was too.

Anyway it was very inspiring, we were in Peterborough, ON, Canada and I have a video of the day somewhere. Tony did that killer 3 ramp transfer and we caught most of it on tape.

A person close to me has recently been battling cancer and it has been rough, but she's clean as far as we know, other than the post chemo-effects. Just wanted to let you know you still have fans out there pulling for you. I wanted to wish you well, you can beat this!

sincerely,
