So I decided to try out the Graffiti Ripper. I recently saw some pictures of it, and I got it in my mind that I need to have it! Let me tell you, I'm glad I got it. It's really nice. I'd say it's one of the best new concept boards from PP in a long time. The colorway is great, and the shape is very functional.

I'm not really a fan of the new school ripper size and shape - it's pretty gigantic at 10" - too big for me anyway. The 9" Graffiti Ripper is right in my wheelhouse. It's got a nice shape that narrows out in the tail, and it's 9" at it's widest point. I put 8.5" Theeve's on there, and 55mm STF's.

It's almost too pretty to skate! I might just order another one for a backup/keeper...

QUESTION: It's got a 'VCJ' signature on it - did he do this graphic? Obviously he did the ripper in the 80's, but did he add the mask?

Hey guys, looking for a way to listen to new music while boarding? I just discovered this hoodie by HoodieBuddie. It has built in headphones so there's no more tangling of the strings or lugging around a big boombox. Just plug in to the jack in the pocket and take your music anywhere. It'll be great during the winter when I gotta get my boarding in. Check them out, they will be at ASR in San Diego Aug 13 - 15th. You'll love what you see, it's definitely worth it.

I recently purchased a Tony Howk skateboard at a yard sale. The bottom graphic looks EXACTLY like the Tony Hawk's "Mini Hawk Skull."

My deck graphic has a Hawk Skull with a Red Iron Cross behind it on a Silver background. Under the image, it says "Tony Hawk" in red letters with a white shadow background. Under "Tony Hawk" it says "Birdhouse Projects 1983 s.o.c." in black. To the right of "Tony Hawk" in green print it says "Stuntman Size".

The top graphic just says "Tony Hawk" in red letters with a white shadow background all against a natural background. To the right of "Tony Hawk" in green print it says "Stuntman Size". Under "Tony Hawk" it says "Birdhouse Projects 1983 s.o.c" in black.

The shape of the deck however differs slightly. Mine is more of the more modern style, with the front nose kick equaly high as the rear tail kick. The deck is 8.75" wide.

Nowhere on the deck, top or bottom, does it say "Powell Peralta", but also nowhere does it say "Re-Issue". So is this a re-issue or an original?

Sorry if this isn't the proper place to ask this question, but I know there are a lot of old school skaters here, so I figured I'd ask.

I have been wearing out my last pair of Airwalk Prototypes, and am looking for a new pair. I'm not about to spend $200+ on more old shoes....they were $30 when I bought 4 pair 10 years ago. Anyway, I noticed on the Airwalk site they have a new style for Christian Hosoi....I am assuming due to the logo. They are called the Rising Son. They look like the original high-top style Airwalk's, the pre-prototype style with the pterodactyls head on the side of the shoe.

Anybody try these out yet? I'm thinking of just buying some Vic's...but if I remember correctly, I didn't really like them back in the day.
