This thread is awesome! Thanks for the good laughs and enjoyment. I have a 1989 Bones Brigade World Tour Jacket that I have been holding on to for years. Are they still bringing in big bucks like back in the day?
yea lol, some of the sales deliver a giggle or so.. 10k for a Howell (even though we know its just so you field the offers fora while & then accept the best one)
Have a look back at the threads.. 89 world tour jacket went for a stupid price a while back. Post it up.. you should get offers. Have a look at s&b as well.
So true Dr. Freedom! I check out skate and annoy every month to see the outrageous prices things go for on e-bay. I believe most of them are to overseas buyers in Japan. There economy is way better, as I am a step away from welfare.
I don't think I will get rid of the jacket as it carries too many old memories for an old fart like me. It is a grey size large and the on S&A are small or XS.
Were they only for the riders (Harris, Underhill, etc.)? I won mine in a raffle at the BB tour.
Most of these items are just insane. But....some items are worth much more to the right buyer. I've been searching for a silver dip Lance Mountain crest...and they are hard to come by. There is a trashed one on ebay now, but I want as close to new as possible. Personally, I would be willing to spend well over "value" for one. Same with a mint black and red Mountain FP, I have one that has perfect graphics and no scratches...but it was drilled for rails.
Its only due to the board being one of Mikes completes .. same for the Grosso, after Grosso himself sold his Alice in bong-land deck, you get the punters at home who still have one thinking they can sell theirs for the same price, which it doesnt.
we seen a sweaty old Hawk shirt go for more .. I spose times were a little more financial then, however I wont be shocked if this shirt walks out the door for the asking price
I am sure it has been said here before but it is crazy that reissues are going for the same if not more the originals. Like this Lance Mountain for example. $500 for a reissue?
