I remember George at some point mentioned that the first SPF type wheels released in the mid 90s under a different name were clear. He said no one would buy them and even the team of PP riders at the time didn't touch them. So they discontinued them.
I wish bones would bring back DTF or some kind of middle hardness wheel. The bones formulas are great, but all they offer is super hard or super soft. The parks I skate are better suited for a 95a or 97a. The SPF/STF are only good on super smooth cement parks and it seems like those only exist in California.
What's up fellas. SPF does have the SPF "Eighty Ones". They're 81B (101A) in 54, 56, 58mm compared to reg SPF's which are 84B (104A). Powell Peralta also has a Ripper wheel in 97A / 54mm and some new Asymmetric core wheels (coming next month) in 97A / 56mm. We've been working on a bunch of new urethane that will be coming out this year.
