Which is why they should make a variety of shapes.
DLX is making 8.5s with a 13.75 wheelbase, 14.25, 14.5 and 14.75. Probably more.
Variety.
One of my favorite boards from 30 years ago was the Welinder Nordic Sperm that had around a 13.5 wheelbase. I currently have a 9.25 with a 14.25 and it's great.
I would love to see some shorter wheelbases coming out of SkateOne, but I think the K20 is best in the 14.25"+ range. There is a lot of flat between the bolts and kicks on the 8" boards with a 14" wheelbase and even more on the sub 8". The K20 mold with just a half to 5/8" of an inch cut out of the middle would be great for the smaller boards.
The older K12 boards had less flat and were nice in those sizes.
Does anyone have word if larger Xformula wheels are in works? I'm almost ready for new wheels but don't wanna buy 56mm if they have 64s coming out (like I did with the Dragons)
Is Powell ever going to release some new shapes with the K20 conacave? The K15 iBan This and Old School Ripper shapes need to be retired. New shapes please!
Yup I was able to get a Tony Hawk one but barely tho. Some sites went live at midnight. Old Skull was cooked in 3 min. I was able to get one from the skate1 site a little after 9am by refreshing the site. About 5 min later, they took everything down.
If they were doing the blacklight series, they should have done the Claw Deck for Tony Hawk. I remember seeing/having a blacklight version of it.
I try to check everyday for new decks, but got Iazy for a few days. Looks like I missed out. I really wanted to get that Hawk too. Good for you though brother.
@Chris that's where I was able to get the Hawk deck. There was never a banner on the site and just refreshed at 9am and they just showed up. Was all gone in 2-3 min.
That's awesome. No release info, no heads up? That sucks, I have all the Mountain FP reissues, plus an OG XT, I was hoping to get this one too. Oh well, I'm not paying flipper money on ebay.
