I find them to look like a long US9, but once my foot is inside they are fine. Width is a little narrow, but they will be fine in time!

@ghostbuster it's not that crazy. That deck is in crazy nice shape as well as the trucks and wheels. But that shape of the deck is pure poo. And yea I guess any price is too high for BONEITE!

Hey everybody, I picked up an original Hawk Chicken Skull on Ebay a while ago. It was a pretty good deal, like a poseur who skated a few times, defaced the deck in some lame teenage way (in this case using fire), and stored it in a closet. Long story short, it was pretty cheap b/c of the fire damage (which appears to be just cosmetic), and I'm thinking of throwing some new wheels and a Tail Bone on it and using it as a rider. I am currently making the mistake of trusting the wood on reissues again (this time from Pocket Pistols), so I will probably need to break out a new deck soon. Pics to come, once it starts looking okay.

So, just a few questions-- 1. Could it be a mini, but unlabeled? It's only about 9x28, but it doesn't say mini anywhere. 2. What size Tail Bone? The tail seems exactly 8 1/4, but I don't know if overhang or not enough is better, so maybe I should go for 8? I am no expert on these, in fact just recently learned to drill them right, and the sizes seem to be kind of arbitrary sometimes.

8 1/4 is the right size, tried to put a tail on, but just wound up popping it off after like 2 tricks. Glad I stopped and checked! I think the tail braking plus pyromania of the former owner has weakened the wood, or maybe the hardware was shit-- bolts shorn right off. It's like karma. I'd post pics but it looks pretty much the same w/o the tail.

Also, to answer my own question, it feels like a mini. I'm calling it a mini. 29.5-31 seems normal from what I've been able to gather.
