Well I emailed skateone and they said it is normal. If it was a 8.45 transfer then the sides would be too short. So it's a normal tolerance. I'd say the person who did the heat transfer need to slide the transfer up by 1mm and it would have had an even gap at the nose and tail. But that's the deal with heat transfer. That's another reason for silk screening on deck, once you get it registered right. You will pull perfect screens every time. I also like that you seem to get a thicker layer as well on screened decks. I'm very happy with the deck though and it's only noticeable to people who care about small details.
The more I look at the deck, I'm realising the registration is actually perfect. They need to extend the graphic to the edges by 1 or 2mm on the nose and tail. I don't know what the graphic is just a tiny bit short. Seems like something they would have corrected by now
Wow that's the worst. Mine really isn't that bad. I noticed that the 10.5" andy griptape maybe has 1mm overhang on one end and none on the other. I barely fits, they are doing weird stuff. It's like VJC drew the graphic just a little to short or it looks weird if you stretch it. But they could easily just extend the blue tail background and the yellow nose.
Mike McGill F14 - Authentic AF and straight out fo the 80s.
The WOMAN is bringing me down. She's making me sell my childhood. Anyhoo, this was my vehicle from 82'-85
She's a F14, with wear, I used it, abused it and loved it. Don't recon there's many still out there. 9" Indy's, rocking cubic wheels. I'm even throwing in the Rad Pad riser and stickers with it.
It seems like people need to know that this thread is about Ebay finds made by members (good ones originally, although it is a mix of good and outrageous ones now). It is not meant to be a thread where you advertise about stuff you're selling. Thanks, and get off my lawn!
i came across the first one awhile back dude is definitely a moron although the graphic is sick as fuck as i have 2 of the green and yellow versions and it should have been done in a few more different colorways like blue background white logo or red background and white logo
Newbie here. Looking for a place to sell my 80's original Tony Hawk deck. Is there a place on this forum to advertise? I completely understand if it's not allowed. The local skateboard shop guys directed me to your forum for your advice on value of the board and where to sell.
Did Powell Peralta ever create a TH bonite reissue? Years ago, I bought a bonite deck on the bay from a well-known 80s PP rider. Upon further reflection, I wonder if it isn't a tribute deck or some obscure reissue. Below the "XT" is the wording "extra tough," which I can't verify ever happened in the 80s. Thoughts? How do I upload a photo w/out paying tinypic $5/month?
