  • Bombers will cruise better. The gbones are better suited for parks since they are 97a.
  • SK8ER is right, Bombers are more practical all-around wheels.
  • Bombers can be sluggish at a park....maybe 59mm G-Slides?
  • Bombers are awesome cruising wheels and have spoiled me for riding anything else outside of a park. I've never tried them in the park because I've always read they'd be slow, but I kinda want to take them just to see for myself.
  • Not that I am any sort of park wizard, or that the park in question was very smooth, but back when I lived near a park, I relied on Bombers to get me there, session, and get me back home (10 blocks or so over very bad pavement), and they were great for all that, plus hitting street spots on the way there/back/if it was too busy. Plus, they last forever.

  • ....maybe 59mm G-Slides!
  • I’ve had a blast with bombers at parks, they aren’t as fast as spf, but you can ride everywhere with them unlike the spf.
  • Didn't you try G-Slides @SK8ER ? How do you rate G-Slides dude?
  • Seems to me people really love Bombers. Why'd they scale back their offerings? I know they have g-slides and the ATF's in the same vein, but why mess with a much loved product?

Soft wheels without hard cores are sluggish over smooth parks, and can damage bearings because of wheel strains! I have a set of old school Bombers and they killed a set of ok bearings. This is partially due to the lateral strains, and because I didn't include a bearing spacer. The combination killed some bearing cases @AstroGhast
  • they killed off alot of my favorite product too it sucks for sure

G-slides are faster at a park due to the core, but the core makes for a rougher cruise in the neighborhood or on rough pavement. The best cruiser wheel are the rough riders, you can literally cruise over anything. I’ve ridden them on grass, cracked and broken asphalt, gravel, dirt. I think the 59mm are a lot smoother, faster, and more durable than the 56mm.
  • Thanks guys! I’ll share some photos when I can and will ask again. I have some more ideas.
  • I'm gonna set up the Mike V deck as soon as all the parts I ordered come in. It's gonna be rad. Skate like 88!!!
  • Pic of your stick! Do you reckon the yellow is true to the 88' yellow? Or is that just online devilry again Macca?
  • I don't even send those to the ladies! But if you wanna pic of my skateboard, however, then sure! Once I get the parts and set it up I'll post a picture.

And the yellow looks about the same as the 88 decks. Probably just the online photos looking a bit darker.
  • Macca, if you are talking about what I think you are talking about you could send thumbnails to the ladies as they would be more than big enough :p
