Powell peralta freestyle wheels

Is it possible they might reissue them? Im looking for something close to that for my mullen deck and its so hard to find an offset wheel that has like an original feel and look to it.

    Hey @Tim0384 !
Yeah, I think the guys are on the right track with the roller skate wheels, as I'm pretty sure the ones on these completes...

    ...were essentially these wheels...

(note: that's $38 for EIGHT wheels)
Waaay back in the day (1988?), I picked up a few sets at our skate shop in Kansas City, You Animal You (yes, that's really what it was named). They weren't branded as Roller Bones, and interestingly they only said "Powell", no "Peralta". They didn't need special washers or bearings, and skated just like any other skateboard wheel. They're pretty narrow for skateboard wheels, but skated well enough...

    Hope this helps!

  • @VatoRat and @brigade_bill I cannot thank you both enough for your help. That had to have been an amazing experience to skate back in the day. I was just a little guy back then but im 33 now and since I was 5 Ive been skating only 80s era stuff and couldn't be happier. I will say I'm very happy to see that their are more choices nowadays compared to about 10-15 years ago when getting a shaped board or even freestyle was not as easy. I got my first powell peralta board back in 2000, still have it to this day. 1989 saiz indian feathers white with green street styles.
  • welcome that is what we are here for
  • @VatoRat , is that a Musicmaster amp I spy?
  • You bet it is, @SkaterRick !
Yeah, I totally, intentionally frame the shots I post here with that stuff in the background. I know there's a handful of us on here who are also musicians, (probably most!), so I thought it would be fun to share.
    Thanks for noticing!
  • I have Powell Rollerbones Elites on my Mullen chessboard reissue. They are excellent for the size and feel of bones freestyle wheels (which were, in fact, rebranded rollerbones) I did have to stack washers on the inside of the truck to get the wheels to surpass the ends of the axle bolts as the off-set was not deep enough without. But that was no big deal, about 4 per wheel. My local skate shop just gave me a little bag full of them for free.
