PSA - Primewood Reissues

Reposting from S&B - some bunk stuff going on at Prime. Buyer beware. I was very happy with some of the Jason Lee stuff I bought from them a few years ago. Lee and Dune mysteriously stopped their association, and some cool reissues never came out. Repost below.

Saw Screaming Squeegees post this on Insta. Stop me if you know this, but word is that Prime is using China for their (very expensive) reissues. This was news to me - and their site has "Made in the USA" all over it.

I posted a very harmless "are these made in the USA?" comment on one of primewood.la's Colvin posts, and they deleted the comment, and blocked me.

Again, sorry if this is known already. And I looked for a Colvin post, but didn't see one. Sorry if I created a redundant thread. Just trying to help someone who might be dropping some serious coin for a stupid reissue.

  • They are made in the USA they show videos of them going through the process of making the boards and very good quality
  • Watch the videos on instagram
  • Read the post from Screaming. I think it’s fair to say they *used* to be made in the USA. Why would they delete my question and block me otherwise? When a simple “sure do!” would end speculation?
  • I can’t watch them. Because they blocked me when I posted “are these made in the USA?”
  • Everyone has a opinion believe what you want all I can say
  • All I know it’s way better quality work and time than a heat transfer that Powell charges 100$ for

lee and pastras left prime months ago they are now working at quincy woodwrights and ur right that is super sketchy as i sure as hell wouldnt do that to any of my customers/future customers
  • Yup. New story is that some decks are made in china, screened in the US. Who knows. Doesn't matter, I won't buy from them again. I don't care about where it's made. But I do care about being lied to. Their site is full of comments about how "everything is hand crafted right here in LA."
