I put Sidewinder trucks on a 30" cruiser...

Hey y'all, I put Sidewinders on a 30" cruiser, but I'm not generating as much speed from pumping as I think I should. Is this board too short? Would these work better on a 36" board? Would having the trucks too loose cause it to not be as fast?
