Original vs reissue. How can you tell?

My first board was a roskopp deck hand me down from my uncle. This was in the 90s. He had purchased his in the 80s. I recently got gifted one and the person told me it was not a reissue. How can I tell if it’s an original or reissue?

catalogs,probably may say reissue,random colorway etc but having pics will also help
