Selecting Truck Size

I'm setting up a Hippy Skeleton FunShape deck. Widest point at front is 8.4 in, but then it tapers down to about 7.9 in. at back. I'm looking at Thunder 149 trucks (8.5in. axle). Will these be a good size? This board be for cruising and occasional park riding (no flip tricks, i'm an old guy), with modern Oval dragon wheels.

I would think 148s would be a better fit, and have a little hot-rod on the back (but less than with 149s)

Thanks for the input. Slim pickings on black Thunder 148, I was only able to find 149's. Back wheels will stick out a bit but I will make it work. I'm psyched to try out the Oval Dragons, got the last pair from Old Skull - 56mm 90a, should be a smooth ride.

I have that deck and my Indy 8.25's still stuck out a little bit.
