Best longboard wheels drop through deck

Does anyone have any recommendations on large longboard wheels for sliding? I’ve read that a lot of wheels leave behind a lot of “thane”. I don’t want too slippery but I also don’t want chunks of my wheel coming off since I feel like soft sliding wheels is probably too good to be true

  • maybe the powell soft slides or the powell downhill/freestyle wheels
  • I'd suggest trying out Snakes in Soft Slide Formula 75a. If you have a drop-through, you can easily fit the larger 69mm size without issue. Being 75a they are prone to chunking, so be careful not to slide over cracks or very rough pavement.
  • I was thinking 74mm Sector 9 9-Balls b/c they lasted forever but they don't make them anymore apparently, so yeah I agree with KRimes and would try Snakes.
  • Is the only reason the soft slides can slide is bc of their surface? Once you wear through the surface is it going to be as sticky as a normal 75a cruiser wheel?
  • Highly recommend the wheel of Ricta Clouds. Used last year in my board and stable so far.
