    Truck holes- due to noseslides/tailslides. I think you got the answer for why we use a transfer method instead of direct printing. Keeping registration up and over a double-kick mold is very difficult to do consistently. Stained plys - we don't stain plys because it causes problems with the glues. The glue doesn't adhere to stained wood as well as to raw wood, which causes delamination and sometimes breakage. Another thing to think about is environmental issues. We had to switch over to waterbased inks and glues which changed up everything, but is way better for the environment.
