Powell Peralta, Per Welinder Nordic Skull (1986 or 87)
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but it is one of the only good active forums I could find.
I was cleaning out my garage getting ready to move when I found one of my dads old boards. It looked really fucking cool so I did some digging and found out that it could be pretty rare. I don't know if you guys do appraisals or can give me some more information on this but if you could it would be much appreciated.
Still has original trucks, wheels, and bumpers. Although, they're a bit banged up.
Such a sick logo.
It says ©MCMLXXXVI(1986). Or ©MCMLXXXVII(1987) I can't tell.
It has this weird silver patina on it which came off with a wet paper towel. It's not dust like I thought at first.
Just the deck.
If you have any information about this board (Price, Background, ect.) please tell me. If I put it up for sale I don't want to get screwed because of a lack of information.

This Per Welinder Street Style model looks to be a very good example. I won't speculate on its value, but would suggest at least in the hundreds of dollars. It would do better to sell it as a complete skateboard on ebay. The market will then set the price.

Before I saw that it was really black, I would have agreed - pretty rare.
I think red on black is pretty common. (Most common?) Also, I believe all of the XT's were no hips (which is what yours is - again, pretty common.)
If you put the plastic stuff back on, you might get $150-$350. If you can get the soot off without damaging it, or making it looks like you scrubbed it, it will help.
Here are some similar auctions. I think yours has some advantages over the one's below, as they have weird holes drilled (one for damage, one for a clock).

I have an update, sorry it took so long. I've been busy.
Anyways, I got some free time tonight so I decided to refinish the board, I think it came out great. tell me what you all think.
I am really considering not selling it since it's so cool, but if I do what advice can you give a noobie like me?
If it were me, I'd keep it. Not sure where things are with you and your dad, but you might end up wishing you had kept it, one day.
