I have been fortunate enough to have had both "Reds" and "Swiss" and if you can swing the $60 for the Swiss you won't be disappointed. To me there is a night and day difference in the quality and like always, you get what you pay for.
I have a big bag of bearings that I test out with an OK-sign finger to thumb and then throw on, so most of my setups wind up with mismatched, random bearings from various points in history.
About a year ago I decided to stop this for once and splurge on some Bones Swiss. It has been great so far; I just put Speed Cream on them once at the beginning, and nothing has stopped them yet, knock on wood.
