  • Just got some Lakai Sheffields. Had some ASICS running shoes back in the day, they were nice and comfy, but not as comfy as NB.

  • I recently bought a set of both the "Busenitz Pro" and the "Vulc II's" and really wanted them to work. They are both awesome looking shoes and have great feel but for me, they seem to run a bit narrow and bother the outside of both of my feet. It sucks because I don't have wide feet. I'm going to keep working with them and hopefully they become more comfortable as they break in.
  • Vulc shoes usually seem about a half-size small. I've bought them by mistake a few times and was always relieved when they blew out or wore through, which was usually early. Some people swear by them, but I try to avoid them now; I will sacrifice some board feel for a comfortable shoe that lasts a little longer.

Vans slip on pro and Lakai slip on Owens work the best for me.
  • I check the Nike skateboarding shoes on Poshmark as well as Depop and I found the shoe for my nephew and he loves them a lot from Poshmark.

So I was lucky enough to find and pick up a set of the "Globe Octave" Rodney Mullen's and I have to say that these are the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. I have wore a lot of different skate shoes over the years and have purchased shoes from just about every manufacture there is including Van's, Lakai, Nike, Adidas, DC, Etnies, and the list goes on and on.

If I knew how to post a photo, I would post one of my current closet and all of the boxes of skate shoes sitting in there. The problem I always run into (with the exception of some Van's) is that skate shoes all seem to be to narrow for me and I don't have what would be considered wide feet!

I end up buying them (sometimes even a 1/2 size up) and then hoping they will break in and feel better but ya...............that doesn't work for me.

Anyway, these Globe Octave's are awesome right out of the box! Comfortable, well built, and finally, no pain on the outside of my feet or smashed up toes. I ended up buying three pair's of these and wish I could find more!

What are the best skate shoes for you?

    The one's that fit!

    Hey Bill,

It's my first set and if all their shoes are like these, I certainly have found my new home with Globe. Damn, those babies you are about to retire look like they have seen a few adventures and a whole lot of streets.

    Thats awesome!

Thanks for the info on posting photos, I really appreciate it.
