Hello,

I recently received a set of your Experimental Urethane from Keith at Eastern Skateboard Supply to test out. I consider my self an all around skateboarder and have ample experience riding wheels of all shapes, sizes, and duros so this particular set peaked my interest very much.

I run a website called Beauty Out of Babylon which is aimed at the "Curation of Culture through the Creation of Community". Part of this site features reviews of products produced by brands that I consider to fit the same bill and mindset as my mission statement (which clearly Powell does to a T). I used the chance of getting my hands on these wheels to whip up a review and figured I would pass it along to y'all to check out.

At the time of publishing I did not know that you had put the thane into production but I plan to go back in and update the site linking to the product to give all viewers the chance to snag a set for them selves.

Below you will find a link directly to the review. I hope y'all enjoy it and thank you for being so committed to producing top notch products for us skate rats to enjoy.

Hi, just wanted to let you know I got a pair of the Mini logo trucks and they are way better than I expected. The turn is easily top three of all the major brands, the grind is good and the bushings don’t need any break in time. They turn well right off the bat!

Anyway, the reason I was surprised is because they are inexpensive compared to the bigger brands, which is a pleasant surprise. The other surprise is that while people say they are a low truck, I’ve had no problems with wheelbite at all and the pop feels the same as the higher trucks I ride.

Nice work!

You guys are the best to order from. I order from multiple companies in CA (I live on the east coast) and you guys get my stuff to me faster than anyone else. It is much appreciated and I look forward to ordering more product from you guys.

Hi there
I just want to say how extremely happy I am with my purchase. My boyfriend is the biggest Steve Caballero fan and it's very hard if impossible to find any of his merchandise in New Zealand.
I am also very impressed with the shipping and how quick it took to get to New Zealand.

Thank you so very much

I wanted to provide feedback that 3-day shipping (6 days including a long weekend) from the US to Australia under current conditions is well beyond expectation. The quality of product and ongoing investment in enriching skate culture, old and new, is likewise really impressive. Well done, you are kicking it.

Just wanted to say I am blown away by this pp Anderson grip tape you sent me. It’s so cool I may just hang it on the wall for now. You guys rock. Thanks for the order and it shipped great !

When I was 13, my parents bought me a 1983 Powell Peralta Tony Hawk pro model “Chicken Skull” skateboard. I spent my youth on that skateboard. Time has passed, I grew up, and that skateboard is gone. I now have a son that wants to learn how to skateboard. Of course that means we both need new skateboards. The popsicle decks are nice but I am old school and reminisce about my childhood days on my old skateboard. We have, once again, been reunited since you re-issued some of the most popular and classic decks (see link for photos). I may no longer be a kid but my passion for skateboarding will never stop.

Thank you,
David

I was just watching a video about the Animal Chin ramp and how they put it together. I noticed that Tony Hawk was skating a different shape model than you put out to celebrate the Bones Brigade documentary. What is up with that? I know you got the best old school decks and graphics. When I was a kid in 1989, I could not afford to buy a Powell skateboard. Now I am an adult and would love to skate around on a sweet old school shape and graphic from around 1989. But, I look at your selection and see some great decks and graphics, and then I see some KID graphics and decks. It seems, someone wants Powell to end up in the Toys R Us bike and skateboard section. Please, go back through the years and release some great shapes and graphics from the past. Maybe, you release the actual deck that Tony was riding during the shooting of Animal Chin. It looked like a different shape then the one that Powell released. I have been wanting that shape for a long time. I am sure many other skaters want other old school shapes and graphics then you have put out in the past. I would love to see some Tommy Guerrero decks. I love the one that was reissued, but I cannot skate a deck that is 29.16 inches long. Man, I don't know if you realize that the kids that grew up in the late 80's and early 90's have jobs now and can afford to purchase your decks. Bring back the real Powell Peralta. God damn it! I hope a real skater reads this. Make sure this email gets to Kam.

I ordered from your website yesterday, and I received my package on my frontdoor today! I live in Quebec city, in the nowhere of Canada. Thank you a lot on your PERFECT service, quality and shipment. Will surely make business with you again.

I just set the Mike McGill snakeskin deck(8.9x32.38) and boy what a great shape. I have had a lot of different boards over the past two years or so and the afore mentioned deck is the perfect shape. It reminds me of the early 90's with a modern flair. The graphic is awesome but the shape is fun. I can't tell you how much I love this deck. I hope you have plans to issue different colors in the near future.

— Danny Wolfe

Just received the new McGill Snakeskin. Wow! Best graphics, shape, concave combo in years. Keep it up. Mating our beloved graphics / riders from the 80's and newer, more " functional " shapes is killer! Best Regards, Dale Schultz.

Powell-Peralta

Hi Dale, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

— Dale Schultz

Great, so Mike McGill has blessed us with his shape and even put in a word or two about why he likes his shape. Stoked, can't wait until payday. Now, lets talk about getting Steve Caballero's signature shape and a word or two why he likes to ride that shape.

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for contacting us.

— Daniel “disco dan” Wolfe , well organized!

In the mid-80s my recreation, transportation, and religion was a Powell-Peralta skateboard. The gear and the brand fit my sense of the world very well.
Fast forward a few decades and I'm a suburban Dad in his 40s with less time to do the things I used to love to do (like skate). Recently my 22 month old son found my old skateboard in the garage and has become obsessed. He 'rides' across the kitchen constantly and even endured both Dogtown and Z-boys and the Bones Brigade documentary in a recent weekend marathon video session.
Today I ordered a Powell Peralta Ripper Complete for my boy's 2nd birthday and I can't wait to take him to the local skatepark for our first session together.
Thanks for enduring the ups and downs in the industry, I'm stoked to share this part of me with my son.

I love watching Steve cab skate. It is so rad that he is like 48 and he still represents. You guys should honor him. Maybe go back and review all his graphics and shapes and release his favorites. Just a thought. Or maybe a book with all his deck graphics inside. I read a book about Rodney and Hawk. They were cool . How about a book about Cab. The man is truly a positive influence on the skate community and all the new skaters could learn a lot about life from his experiences. everything cab, all day!

My name is Ty Edmondson I’ve been skating since I was 8. I like to travel all over on greyhound, mega bus, and any other ground transportation. I carry my skateboard everywhere and I’ve gotten really good responses and friendly contacts from all over. I let people try to do a Kickflip and if they land it I give them my board. But I choose really obscure people to try it. I don’t need to promote skateboarding to people who already skate. But I do seem to generate a lot of questions and interest from folks on where and how much to go buy a setup. (skateboard) duh??????????? Anyways I live in Anderson SC we got one shop and I travel mostly just to go skate. Sometimes I travel alone. Sometimes I take a small crew. I don’t really give a damn about money, but needless to say I tend to run out of boards pretty often. I live @ 204 cheek st. Anderson SC 29624. Right behind a bilo grocery. So if you want I can promote and give your gear for advertisement or whatever. I typically ride a 7.75 , 52mm wheels, fastest bearings I can get my hands on. I don’t wear socks when I skate weird but true. I’m a 28 year old white dude that really just doesn’t fit in where I’m born and raised but I find friends through my skateboard. I’m clean and never do drugs. Not even asprin so hit me up my phone is 8644379484. So please help a fellow skater out, or don’t but, It would be a lot COOLER if YOU DID.
